Mrs. Taylor Spotlight

Get to know Mrs. Coy Taylor a little better!

I have taught 4th grade for 5 years and 5th grade for 2. My husband Travis works for Utah County in the Engineering department, and loves to ride dirt bikes. My son Knox is 3 and is obsessed with fishing. My daughter Quinn is 2 super sassy, and loves her dolls.

I love anything outside hiking, camping, running, riding dirt bikes, and snowboarding. Other hobbies include cheerleading, dancing, yoga, and reading.

One memory from when I was in 5th grade, I went to Cabo San Lucas, we went deep sea fishing, parasailing, and horseback riding on the beach. While deep sea fishing I got sea sick and threw up over the side of the boat. The fish loved it so we caught a lot of fish!

This summer we have already gone camping, got stuck in the mud on the side by side. We are going to Yellowstone. And another favorite summer activity is going out on the jet ski.

A goal I am working on is working on running more this summer and building my stamina.

Favorite drink is a chai tea latte. Favorite treat would be gummy lifesavers, and favorite goodie is brownies and ice cream!

Barnett students have been fortunate in the past to participate in Junior Achievement, a program that teaches how to empower young people to own their economic success. Each year they have come into the schools and taught financial literacy lessons. Due to Covid restrictions this year, we are sharing the link for families to participate at home.

CLICK HERE for a link to all the videos (age level, home, community, city, nation, etc.) Activitites accompany the videos and it is recommended for parents or guardians to participate alongside children.

We have had a FANTASTIC Student Lighthouse Team this year!  Did you know each month the student lighthouse team helps with our Bulldog Pride Awards?  They help cheer, hand out books, Bulldog wristbands, and tokens.  They quietly, behind-the-scenes have helped improve our school and set examples of leadership and friendship.  Thank you students for a great year of service!
