Mrs. Thayne comes to us from Cherry Creek Elementary as their Skills Coach. Her family has lived in Payson for 15 years. She has one daughter and three sons.

She loves spending time with her family and friends. She likes watching movies probably more than she should. She loves camping, exploring new places and off-roading in their Jeep. She is creative and organized.

Favorite drink: Dr. Pepper zero
Favorite treat: Anything chocolate, coconut or peanut butter.

Face-to-Face Registration Support

If you need face-to-face support with the online registration process, help will be available on Tuesday, July 27th, 2021 from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  We will have available:

• chromebooks
• translation assistance (Mrs. Robinson)
• scanner and/or copier for document upload

Please share this information with all of your friends and neighbors who have kindergarten age children and/or New-to-Nebo students.

*Note: Once your child's registration is complete, parents and teachers will be able to see classes/teacher assignments on 8-06-21.

Get to know Miss Stephanie Sheets - 4th grade teacher!

I have taught 1 year in 6th grade and 4 years in 4th Grade at Barnett.

I am the youngest of 5 children and I am the only girl. I also have 7 handsome nephews and 4 beautiful nieces. I grew up in an outdoorsy family who enjoys camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing. We also love to play card or dice games.

I love to read, play sports, be outdoors, play games, and cross stitch.

Say Hello to Miss McKendrick

Miss McKendrick comes to us from Spanish Oaks Elementary where she taught 4th grade. She has 8 people in her family and loves spending time with her siblings. They have family dinner almost weekly!

She loves hiking, pickleball, yoga, reading, camping, and traveling. She also likes to sing for fun. She has never been out of the country, but is going to Spain for a month next week. She is going to help teach a family English and do some exploring while she’s there.

Introducing Miss Kilee Christensen - new 3rd grade teacher!

Miss Christensen comes to us from Meadow Brook Elementary. She received her education degree from Southern Utah University.

She is a fourth generation teacher! She grew up with a brother and three sisters in Spanish Fork, and they love playing board games whenever they can! 

When she's not working she finds the comfiest spot on the couch and read a good book!

Big Welcome to Miss Baird

Miss Baird comes to us from Larsen Elementary. She is from Columbia, Maryland and has an older brother and 2 younger sisters.

When she’s not working she loves reading, crafting, watching movies, exercising, hiking, napping and binging Netflix! She loves to sing! She can sing her abcs backwards and can make a mean friendship bracelet.

Get to know Mrs. Amaya Flint, 5th Grade Teacher!

I have taught 5th grade for 4 years, 3 of those at Barnett!

My husband Charlie and I have been married for 6 years. In February we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Audrey. We think she is the cutest and sweetest baby ever!

Welcome Mrs. Despain

Mrs. Despain comes to us from Orchard Hills Elementary. She is married with 4 kiddos, 3 dogs, 10 chickens, 1 cat, 1 bunny, and 1 hamster. We live in Eureka and are very involved. My husband's mom is from Argentina and it is a big part of our life. They love soccer, mate, and BBQ.

She loves being outdoors, hiking, camping, climbing, sports, and traveling. She also likes to volunteer as an AEMT for Juab EMS. I recently quit coaching high school volleyball and cheer so I would have more time not working, but she loved it.

Meet Mikaela Dahl!

Miss Dahl comes to us from Orchard Hills Elementary where she was a preschool technician. She is the oldest of 4 kids.

When she’s not working she does quite a bit of schoolwork as she is working on her bachelors degree. But when she’s not working or doing schoolwork she loves to be outside. One of her favorite things to do is go on walks or hikes with her boyfriend or family.
