5th grade has been learning about the Earth's Surfaces in Science. In order to make the concepts we have been learning about come to life for our students, we had them research the Thistle Landslide of 1983. Students read articles, taught each other, and learned all they could about the landslide. Then we got to go there as a grade level! The students loved seeing the geographical features they had learned about right in their own "backyard". We then got back on the bus and headed to the BYU Bean Museum. Here, 5th graders learned about animal adaptations and even had the opportunity to tour the Museum. We sure had a fun trip!
