Barnett’s 6th Grade Gift of the Nile Egyptian Day activities. Each year students create Egyptian collars of a specific color to represent their class during their rotations. This year alongside the collars they created Egyptian cartouches, necklaces that have their initials carved in clay using hieroglyphics, to represent each person. Students rotated to each of the 6th mummies. In Mrs. Laudato’s rotation they mummified apples in which they are anxiously waiting to open at the end of the month. In Mrs. Spencer’s class students created a sarcophagus box and placed a curse for their mummy apple within it.
