First Annual Parent Night

Barnett Elementary recently held their First Annual Parent Night where parents could come meet with grade levels to receive instruction on how to help their children at home with reading, writing, and math. Teachers were excited to share with parents ways to check for understanding when reading, ideas to get kids writing at home, and how to solve real world math problems. Parents appreciated handouts, games, and strategies they could use at home with their children. Prizes were handed out to families as a thank you for attending. We would like to thank Little Caesars, Poor Boys BBQ & Dawgs, Kneaders, Mi Rancherito, Tsing Tao, and Pizza Factory for donating prizes for this special night. It was a great evening where Barnett teachers, parents, and the community of Payson worked together to help the students at Barnett.
