The Kindergartners at Barnett had such a fun time at the Kindy 500. We started with a parade of box cars that the students made, race cars, bugs, firetrucks, school buses and so many more. Parents and other grade levels loved seeing the little kids parade around the school so proudly. Kindergartners then went on a tour of the country (classrooms in our school) to see American symbols and landmarks. So many helpful teachers played parts, Betsy Ross, the Statue of Liberty, Abraham Lincoln, and others taught about the White House, the Liberty Bell, Mount Rushmore, and the Bald Eagle. We had a blast learning about these things and places that are important to our country's history, and doing activities to help us remember them!
