Leaders in November
Blowing out the candles!

In November, we had a chance to honor those that are top dogs in their classrooms and students who are showing true leadership. In a school full of leaders it is sure hard to choose! We are so proud of our November Top Dogs and Leaders and look forward to more coming in just a couple of days when we have our December Bulldog Pride Assembly. For the month of November our Alpha Dogs were Amy Davis a second grade teacher and Spencer a UEI technician. They work so hard here at Barnett Elementary and we are so thankful for them and the work they do here in our school. This Bulldog Pride was more special than the others. It was on our dear Principal's Birthday! The whole school sang her happy birthday as she blew out 40 candles! Holy cow!

A good teacher has been defined as an individual who can understand those who are not good at explaining, and explain to those who are not very good at understanding.  Dwight D. Eisenhower

This is so true of Shalyn.  As long as I have know her(which is a very long time) she has always been a kind and caring person.  She is also very happy and  positive.   Shalyn is always willing to give it a try, no matter what is whether it is ice skating/dancing or finding solutions for each students’ needs.  She  does not give up and works until she finds something that will help.  She lives for the success and happiness of others, especially her students. It is no coincidence that her classroom is a place where her students feel safe, valued, and successful. Shalyn is a loving and hardworking person who brings happiness and support to everyone she works with.

Congratulations Shalyn! We are so lucky to have you at Barnett!

Barnett Faculty Synergizing Fun

Our teachers came together in teams to make gingerbread displays.  The rules were simple, your entry could not already be put together and you had one hour to do it all.  The creations were displayed in the school and then given away to students to take home and decorate their homes with.  It was a new tradition of working togehter, synergizing, and having fun.  ENJOY THE PICTURES!

Principals 200 Club Winners

Attributions:

Students at Barnett Elementary have been working hard this month to earn Brag Notes. When a student earns a brag note their name is added to the Principal’s 200 Club Board. Brag notes can be earned by living the 7 Habits, working hard in school, and being a good example of a leader just to name a few things. Once the board is full of student names we have a drawing for books and prizes. Here are our winners for the month of December. Thanks for making so many good choices Barnett Bulldogs!
