Nebo Foundation Grant Recipient Mrs. Coker

Submitted by kali.brown on

Whitney Coker, first-grade teacher at Barnett Elementary, said, “Our grant was to provide each student at Barnett with headphones. It is our goal to incorporate more online practices to enhance and reinforce learning and to better prepare the students for the possibilities of at home learning due to school closures or quarantines. Students will use the headphones for assignments given through google classroom and other platforms. We will use these headphones daily. We are so grateful to the Nebo Education Foundation for approving this grant for our students at Barnett!

Jesse Davis, Custodian, Barnett:  “With all of the added cleaning needs this year to keep us safe and healthy, Mr. Davis is constantly hopping from refilling hand sanitizers to disinfecting playground equipment.  No job is too small or too large.  He takes such good care of us!”  Thank you, Mr. Davis ... we love you!

National School Breakfast Week

Submitted by sarah.sumsion on

National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) is March 8-12

At Barnett we encourage all students to eat a healthy breakfast before school, whether you eat at home or at school. Breakfast begins being served at 8:45 daily. Kids can enter through the lunchroom doors and have a healthy breakfast to start their day. If kids are eating breakfast at home, that's great too. We want every child coming to school fueled up, ready to learn.
