Just a reminder about kindergarten registration on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm for those children who will be five on or before September 1, 2013.

What to bring with you:

 Your Child for a brief assessment

 Your child’s original birth certificate (blessing and hospital certificates will NOT be accepted)

  Immunization records

 Emergency phone numbers

 3 items that show proof of residency that you are in Barnett boundaries – Current address

1 of the following: Deed, Mortgage Statement, Rent/Lease agreement

2 of the following: Driver’s license AND/OR Utility bill – gas, electric, phone, cable AND/OR Vehicle registration AND/OR W-2 AND/OR Property tax bill

A school nurse will be present to check your child’s immunization record. State law requires a complete immunization record and birth certificate be on file with the school office before any child starts Kindergarten this fall.  No teacher requests will be accepted but requests for AM or PM kindergarten will be available. Due to the busing schedule, all “hospital” students will attend AM kindergarten.  Again this year we are asking that you bring your incoming Kindergarten child with you to registration. The kindergarten teachers will be conducting a brief assessment on each child. Based on the assessment they will be able to offer specific ideas that you can do at home to help your child be better prepared for school in the Fall. The assessment will take place while you are filling out the paperwork required for registration
