On Tuesday, November 11, 2014, students at Barnett Elementary celebrated Veteran's Day. Mrs. Ronda Hair and Ms. Robyn Curtis organized an assembly that included the presentation of the United States flag, recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Barnett choir singing two numbers--The Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America. Also, several short videos were shown to focus students' thoughts on the sacrifices of the soldiers who sacrifice their time and lives to defend our country. Many students shared statements they had written about why they appreciate veterans.
