January Bulldog Pride

Submitted by sarah.sumsion on

Congratulations to our Leaders of the Month and Top Dogs! These students demonstrated excellence in behavior or academics in their classes for the month of January.

Also we celebrate our Doggone Great Parent - Brea Wentz! She is always helping in our school and willing to volunteer whenever she can. THANK YOU Mrs. Wentz! Our Alpha Dogs, voted on by teachers and staff, are Mrs. Kunz, our TK teacher, and Mrs. Ross, one of our Title I intervention technicians.

During our assembly, we also heard a song from our 2nd graders to help us remember the importance of Think Win Win.

Dr Christy Kane Teaches Barnett Community

Submitted by sarah.sumsion on

Dr Christy Kane came to Barnett on Monday to teach families about being mentally strong and emotionally ready as it relates to mental health and being connected online. She stressed the importance of having a family media plan. She recommended for every hour you are online, have one hour offline (not counting sleeping)! We'd love to hear what you learned and what your takeaways were.

NetSmartz Comes to Barnett During White Ribbon Week

Submitted by sarah.sumsion on

Today our school was able to host NetSmartz for 2 assemblies to continue learning during White Ribbon Week. The first assembly was for grades 3-6 and focused on safety online, as well as how to be a good digital citizen and use technology as a tool, not a lifestyle. The K-2 students heard the 4 rules of internet safety which included not sharing personal information and being kind online. Ask your children what they learned today!
