Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Submitted by angela.stoddard on

If you walked through Barnett Elementary on Dr. Seuss' birthday you would have seen The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1, 2 and even 3! You could have talked with The Lorax, Fox in Socks, and Horton too! It was a great day as we dressed up as a Dr. Seuss character, celebrated reading in our classrooms, and every student went home with their very own book!

Junior Achievement Day at Barnett

This week we had a special day for all our classes. It was Junior Achievement Day! Volunteers from US Synthetic, America First Credit Union, Junior Achievement of Utah, and many wonderful parents spent the morning with our students teaching them all about Financial Literacy. The students loved having guest teachers and learning so many important skills in math, literacy, and social skills! A big thank you to the many volunteers that spent time with us on this awesome day.

Principal 200 Club Winners

Submitted by angela.stoddard on

Students at Barnett Elementary have been working hard this month to earn Brag Notes. When a student earns a brag note their name is added to the Principal’s 200 Club Board. Brag notes can be earned by living the 7 Habits, making good choices, working hard in school, and being a good friend or helper just to name a few things. Once the board is full of student names we have a drawing for books and prizes. Here are our winners for this month. Thanks for making so many good choices Barnett Bulldogs!

Our Wonderful Custodian- Mr. Davis

When Mr. Davis isn't working hard to make our school look nice and clean, you can find him hanging up a bulletin board or this week you could find him sharing his talents in our school library. The students were learning about Native Americans this week and Mr. Davis came in and showed the students how to chip glass and rock to create tools just like the Native Americans did. Thanks for sharing so many talents with us Mr. Davis!

Bulldog Pride February 2019

Barnett students gathered together to celebrate another Bulldog Pride Assembly. This was an  assembly where we were celebrating all of the amazing students who recieved the Top Dog and Leader of the Month awards. Students are chosen by their teachers. Top Dogs go to students who are working hard in school. They have a great work ethic and try their best in everything they do. Leaders are those that are living the 7 habits. They also are great examples at following the rules and being kind to all those around them. Congrats to our two alpha dogs for this month. Mrs.
