Mrs. Evans' class had a yummy Thanksgiving feast the day before our break.   We have been talking about what it means to synergize because when we all help, great things happen. We were thankful for all the helpers that day.  We had mothers bring food and they stayed to help prepare and serve our feast.  We also had high school students come in to help.  They brought pilgrim hats for each child, helped serve the meal and sang songs with the kids.  It was a fun day, one I think the children will always remember. 

This week, Ms Nash's class decorated our tiny little Christmas tree in our classroom. Each student got to help put on the ornaments and then we turned the lights on for the first time! It's fun to see the beautiful tree while we are working hard during the day.

Mrs. Standish's 5th Grade class learned about reactants and products in a chemical change by making their own "rocket fuel". Students experimented with different reactants to see which combination would cause the most powerful fuel to make the biggest rocket. 

Reflections Winners 2016

Barnett Elementary held their school wide reflections contest this month and are excited to announce the winners. The theme was “What is Your Story?” and our students worked hard to create visual art, literature, photography, and music pieces around this theme. The winners of each category are listed below.
