Shapes! Shapes! Shapes! Mrs. Evans class has been learning their 2D and 3D shapes. One of the students' favorite activities was to draw their own pictures using the shapes. Then they each shared what they drew and the class had to guess what their picture was about. Some of them were pretty funny and all were very creative. Next we will do 3D shapes using play dough!
Our final SEP of the school year is coming up on February 17th. SEPs are a chance for the teacher, student, and parent to sit down and discuss the great things happening at school and set some goals to help the student. On Thursday, February 5th, 2016, 5th Grade students attended a presentation, where they learned about how electricity works to power things in our everyday lives. Students also learned about how to be safe around electricity in their homes and community. It was a great way to kick off our unit on electricity!
We have reached 100 days of being in school! We celebrated by turning 100 years old. We also made some really cool glasses, did 100 exercises, and walked 100 steps. It has been a fantastic 100 days in second grade!
