1st Grade Celebrates 100th Day of School

Submitted by jaimie.standish on

The first graders celebrated the 100th Day of School on January 29. We did a lot of fun activities for 100's Day. We counted to a 100 by 2's, 5's and 10's and we even wrote 100 sight words. We ended the day by doing a fun art project made out of the number 100 and we ate 100 of our favorite treats! It was such a fun day!

Officer Wright Teaches Safety to Barnett

Submitted by jaimie.standish on
Officer Bill Wright came to Barnett today to talk about being safe in our community. He reviewed walking safety and taught students how to use traffic signs to help them know where it is safe to walk and where it is not. He helped students to remember the importance of being safe and aware as they are walking to and from school. We want all of our Bulldogs to be safe!

Payson High School Chemistry Comes To Barnett

Submitted by jaimie.standish on
Payson High School Chemistry students came to Barnett to give a demonstration to Barnett 5th Graders. Explaining how different chemicals react to change matter, 5th graders were able to see firsthand that though matter changes, it is neither created or destroyed. Students especially enjoyed when the experiments resulted in loud noises or even fire! (Controlled of course!) Thank you to Payson High for sharing your students with us!
