Second grade had a blast on their field trip to the Lehi Hutchings Museum. We learned all about Utah history. We learned about pioneers, Indians, geology, wildlife, and even dinosaurs! Students even got to experience what being in jail would feel like and hold fossilized dinosaur poo! Yikes!
We attended BYU Project Youth on last Friday, March 11th. Students had the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a college student for a few hours. They toured campus, talked with college students, and were able to go to different departments and learn what they were about.
The 1st graders at Barnett Elementary are building their own home libraries, thanks to Mr. Logue. Mr. Logue visits our school every month to bring books to our 1st graders. His goal is to help get books into the children's homes so they can become better readers. Our students look forward to Mr. Logue's visits each month. He reads the story to each class and them gives each child their own book. Barnett 1st graders would like to say "Thank you Mr. Logue for helping us become better readers. WE LOVE OUR BOOKS!"
