Fire Drill Practice

Submitted by dayna.kirgan on

Barnett Elementary knows how important it is to be prepared. Even in the most serious incidents. Our first week back from Winter Break, we had a fire drill. The alarms sound and flash, but no worries, Barnett students know what to do. They quickly line up and are prepared to exit out the closest door. Teachers lead them out to a designated safe location and take count of the students they have. When all students are accounted for, the classes reenter the school knowing they have just accomplished another important drill.

Bulldog Pride in December

Barnett Elementary awarded Top Dogs and Leaders of the month in December. This month, as crazy as it was, resulted in great acts of academics and leadership in the classroom. How lucky are we at Barnett Elementary to have so many leaders to choose from. Not only do we have great students are Barnett Elementary, but also great faculty members. Our Alpha Dogs for December were Mrs. DeNaughel and Mrs. Standish. Here are December's Top Dogs and Leaders of the month.

Bulldog Pride in November

Submitted by dayna.kirgan on

In November, we had a chance to honor those that are top dogs in their classrooms and students who are showing true leadership. In a school full of leaders it is sure hard to choose! We are so proud of our November Top Dogs and Leaders and look forward to more coming in just a couple of days when we have our December Bulldog Pride Assembly. For the month of November our Alpha Dogs were Amy Davis a second grade teacher and Spencer a UEI technician. They work so hard here at Barnett Elementary and we are so thankful for them and the work they do here in our school.

2nd Graders rocked the holidays with their Christmas program. We learned new songs this year and the kids had a great time learning them. The kid's favorite songs were I want to be an Elf and Hip Hop Reindeer.  Parents thank you for your support and Mrs. Hixson thanks for making our program awesome!Merry Christmas to all!

Barnett Faculty Synergizing Fun

Submitted by angela.stoddard on

Our teachers came together in teams to make gingerbread displays.  The rules were simple, your entry could not already be put together and you had one hour to do it all.  The creations were displayed in the school and then given away to students to take home and decorate their homes with.  It was a new tradition of working togehter, synergizing, and having fun.  ENJOY THE PICTURES!

Barnett Elementary would like to thank America First Credit Union-Payson Branch, for purchasing 100 pairs of shoes for students at Barnett. It was a great day when the recipients of the shoes all gathered together and opened their presents at the same time to discover a brand new pair of awesome shoes! Thank you again to America First Credit Union for taking care of our students!
