On April 30, 2014 the 5th grade students that had worked hard to have good behavior, got to have an assembly with Sub 0 Day Ice Cream. We learned about how liquid Nitrogen can boil at -300 degrees F. After around 10 minutes we started to see liquid oxygen drip off the bowl. Akadian and Blaze stood under it and the liquid oxygen burned a little because it was so cold.

The presenter then poured a cup of liquid Nitrogen on the floor and it disappeared in a cloud of cold fog. Then we got to see liquid Carbon Dioxide inside of a frozen balloon. When she blew up the balloon and put it into the liquid Nitrogen it collapsed and shrunk showing the liquid Carbon Dioxide. After she took it out and started warming it up the balloon blew itself up.

At the very end the presenter took liquid Nitrogen and made Marshmallow Ice-cream, it was the best ice-cream I had ever had. It was the best assembly we had ever had too.
