Get to know our principal, Mrs. Kali Brown, a little better!
My teaching career: TK technician 3 years at Art City, taught 2nd grade for 5 years at Sage Creek, facilitator at Santaquin Elementary 1 year, Principal at Spanish Oaks for 7 years, Principal at Barnett 1 year.
I have been married 33 years to my favorite person, have 4 amazing children, and am blessed with 5 perfect grand-babies.
What I love doing when I have time: Reading Harry Potter books, watching Marvel movies, walking around Disneyland.
When I was in second grade, we were assigned state reports. I did my report on California. I made little treats to hand out from orange slices and black olives that looked like little boats because they were foods from my state. I also said that I was named after the state because the first letters of my first name are the first letters in California.
This summer I will watch my grandson in lots of t-ball games, run through the sprinklers with my granddaughters, play with my two new grand-babies, and share a Dole Whip with my favorite person.
I would love to learn to speak another language well. I play the piano, but need to make time to practice. I used to run every day. I’d love to start doing that again so I can keep up with all of these grand-babies.
Favorite drink: Chocolate milk
Favorite treats: Reese’s peanut butter cups, caramel popcorn
