We are excited to have another Family Empowerment Event to help support parents and families with resiliency this year. Parents have expressed a desire to have this subject supported at school. Teachers are studying the book "Growth Mindset Coach" and providing lessons to their classes monthly. To focus on our theme of "Together We Are Better", we are hosting this Family Empowerment Event to bring some of what students are learning at school back into our homes so together our students will become the best they can be.
Our school counselor, Mrs. Wright, and school psychologist, Miss Boogert, have created a short video giving a brief overview of resiliency and growth mindset. At SEPs this week, teachers will have a handout with tips, resources and QR codes linking to the video. There is also a QR code for a brief survey to help us understand how we can better provide ongoing support for our Barnett families and students.
We also have a link to the SafeUT app where families can report concerns or ask for help. Lastly, we will be sending home a complimentary book to each family that aligns with our resilience and growth mindset focus this year.

Estamos entusiasmados de tener otro Evento de Empoderamiento Familiar para ayudar a apoyar a los padres y las familias con resiliencia este año. Los padres han expresado su deseo de que esta asignatura sea apoyada en la escuela. Los maestros están estudiando el libro "Growth Mindset Coach" y proporcionando lecciones a sus clases mensualmente. Para enfocarnos en nuestro tema de "Juntos Somos Mejores", estamos organizando este Evento de Empoderamiento Familiar para traer algo de lo que los estudiantes están aprendiendo en la escuela a nuestros hogares para que juntos nuestros estudiantes se conviertan en lo mejor que puedan ser.
Nuestra consejera escolar, la Sra. Wright, y la psicóloga escolar, la señorita Boogert, han creado un breve video que ofrece una breve descripción de la resiliencia y la mentalidad de crecimiento. En las conferencias SEP de esta semana, los maestros tendrán un folleto con consejos, recursos y códigos QR vinculados al video. También hay un código QR para una breve encuesta para ayudarnos a comprender cómo podemos brindar mejor apoyo continuo a nuestras familias y estudiantes de Barnett.
También tenemos un enlace a la aplicación SafeUT donde las familias pueden reportar inquietudes o pedir ayuda. Por último, enviaremos a casa un libro de cortesía a cada familia que se alinea con nuestro enfoque de resiliencia y mentalidad de crecimiento este año.
