Barnett was privileged to get to give a tour to educators from Idaho that are interested in bringing Leader in Me to their schools. Principals, social workers and school counselors from elementary, middle and junior high schools came to Barnett and learned even more about what Leader in Me looks like in a school setting.

First, they observed Mrs. Moore's 3rd grade class during a grammar lesson that had leadership principles integrated. Next, they got to speak with student lighthouse members as they showed their leadership notebooks, talked about how Leader in Me impacts them personally, and answered questions for our guests. Following that the guests were given a tour of the school, including our WIG board, student leadership board and Bulldog Zone where growth mindset lessons are taught by Mrs. Brown. We finished up our tour with a Q&A with Mrs. Sumsion and Mrs. Buchanan as leadership and teacher representatives. They could even speak as parents, having had their own children attend Leader in Me schools.

It was a great day to show off all we have become at Barnett!
