Barnett's 5th graders recently participated in Colonial Days where they learned about life in colonial America. Students experienced first hand just how hard colonial families worked to get all the chores done. The students learned how to spin wool into yarn and how to weave with it. They got to make their own candles, bread dough, and paper, as well. But it wasn't all hard work; they also got to play some colonial games. One of the best parts was competing against each other (and the teachers) in the stick pull.
