Nebo Foundation Grant Awarded to Mrs. Galt

Stephanie Galt, our awesome instructional coach at Barnett Elementary, said, “Thank you so much for the grant awarded to Barnett Elementary for the purchase of books known as decodable readers. The purchase of these books will allow teachers access to materials that support very strategic reading instruction that directly aligns to phonics instruction. In many instances teachers are working with students struggling to read and need materials that target specific phonics patterns. That targeted use of language is exactly what decodable readers provide. We are excited to add these research based resources to our guided reading library and help all students achieve high levels of success.”

The Nebo Education Foundation Board functions through generous donations made by individuals and businesses as well as fundraisers where all the money goes to educate students in Nebo School District. Thank you to all those that so generously supported Nebo students through donations.
