Get to know Mrs. Sarah Sumsion.
I taught 6th grade for 6 years, was an instructional coach and now starting my 5th year as the Title I Coordinator.
My husband, Robert, and I have been married 27 years. We have 4 kids and 1 grandchild. The 2 oldest are married, one on a mission in NYC, and the youngest is a junior in high school.
I have been playing the piano since I was big enough to sit at the piano bench. Playing piano and reading are a MUST, every available chance I have. I also love photography, graphic design, lettering, improving my cooking skills and artistic efforts. I have always enjoyed sports like volleyball and tennis.
When I was in 6th grade I broke my right hand and was in a cast. I had to learn to do everything with my left hand - which was VERY hard. I also HATED reading...until I was in high school. I now recognize I had zero reading comprehension skills and needed help finding books that interested me.
Last summer we went on a family vacation to the Redwoods - and I learned I could live there forever!
Something I am learning is French. My husband is fluent, and my son is learning it in high school so they are a big help to me.
Favorite drink: Diet Dr. Pepper
