We had a great time at our Fall Family Fun night. All families were fed and there were many activities and games to participate in.
We planned everything with our Parent Lighthouse Team. Parents requested tips for improving reading at home. All families were given a book bag with 2 books and resources and tips to help families with reading at home.
Big thanks to all the parents involved with planning, setting up, preparing, hosting, cleaning up, and supporting our Barnett family. Thank you to all the families who came and enjoyed an evening together!
Save the date! November 7th is our Fall Family Night. We will have a great evening being together with FREE food, a book giveaway and games! Watch for an RSVP form coming home this week ... DUE 11-02-22.

Student Lighthouse Leaders shared idea boxes for each class to have in their rooms when they have ideas about how to improve things at school. Ask your student what they learned and what ideas they have!

Spirit Day Winners! These classes had the highest percentage of people wearing school shirts and school colors. Congrats Miss Lopez's 5th grade, and Mrs. Kunz's TK class. Trophies were delivered by spirit day leader, Kase Hanks. Way to show your school spirit, Bulldogs!

These students were victory bell ringers today for accomplishing goals such as passing off all letters and sounds, doubling a daze score, reaching a reading goal, passing off all math facts, etc. Keep setting goals and working hard students!
Salem Hills High School marching band came to Barnett today and demonstrated each instrument and part of the band, including color guard and drum majors. They sounded fantastic and got our 5th graders excited about music education in middle school. We even had many former Barnett students playing in the band or dancing with the band today. Thank you SHHS marching band!
J. Lynn Jones, national 7 Habits trainer and Nebo educator, came to Barnett and read a story to each grade level and afterward led a discussion. The story was about avoiding turning minnows into whales. That means we don't want to take a little deal and turn it into a big deal. He advised students to "stay curious not furious."
