Family Empowerment Event - GOING ON NOW!

Submitted by sarah.sumsion on

Barnett Elementary proudly presents our Spring Family Empowerment Event....#GiveBackBarnett. Over the years Barnett students have been very fortunate to receive so much support from the community. We want to help our students understand the value of giving back and how there are many simple ways to do that with our families. We have a video [CLICK HERE] from our student lighthouse and Barnett families explaining about our event and ways that they are already giving back.

Nebo Foundation Grant Recipient Mrs. Coker

Whitney Coker, first-grade teacher at Barnett Elementary, said, “Our grant was to provide each student at Barnett with headphones. It is our goal to incorporate more online practices to enhance and reinforce learning and to better prepare the students for the possibilities of at home learning due to school closures or quarantines. Students will use the headphones for assignments given through google classroom and other platforms. We will use these headphones daily. We are so grateful to the Nebo Education Foundation for approving this grant for our students at Barnett!
