Back to School Immunization Clinic

The health department is putting on three clinics for any kindergartner or 7th grader who need immunizations. It is by appointment only and will be held at the health department in Provo. Now is a good time to get a jump start on immunizations so school enrollment is not held up in August. Spread the word if you know a family with an upcoming kindergartner or 7th grader! 

Barnett Elementary Named a Leader in Me Lighthouse School

Barnett Elementary School has been certified and named as a Leader in Me Lighthouse School by Franklin Covey Education. This recognition is evidence that Barnett has produced outstanding results in school and student outcomes, by implementing the Leader in Me process with fidelity and excellence. It is also because of the extraordinary impact the school is having on staff, students, parents, and the greater community! 

Barnett Teacher Parade- Tuesday, May 12th- Updated Parade Route Attached

The Barnett Teachers hope to see all our Bulldogs standing outside Tuesday  morning, May 12th to watch the Barnett Teacher Parade. The teachers will begin by leaving Barnett at 9:30am and follow the parade route shared here. Please note it is an update parade route, different than the one sent out last week. 

Get your posters and signs ready and be outside to wave and cheer as the teachers come to say to drive through your neighborhood and say hi!

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As you may have heard, Governor Herbert and State Superintendent Sydnee Dickson have extended the “soft school closure” until the end of the school year.  Although we are disappointed that we will not be able to work with students in our usual manner, we understand why the decision was made and fully support them.  That being said, we now will need to address a variety of very unique situations.

We invite all families to participate and  
DROP, COVER, AND HOLD ON!

Federal, state, and local emergency management experts and other official preparedness organizations all agree that “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” is the appropriate action to reduce injury and death during earthquakes.  The Great Utah ShakeOut is our opportunity to practice how to protect ourselves during earthquakes.
