Barnett hosted a wonderful Family Night event on May 9, 2022. The community was invited to enjoy food from food trucks (Smokin' Roadside BBQ Grill, The Corn Dog Company, Waffle Love, and Kona Ice), listen to music, play games as a family hosted by our student lighthouse team, check for lost belongings in the Lost & Found, get free books & educational posters, and stop by booths with community resources available.
Congratulations to Mrs. Thayne for being recognized as the Classified Employee of the Year for Barnett. Miss Nash wrote a dedication to her, but it certainly represents how we all feel about her:

We are so excited to see students making such good choices that they receive a brag note. From the brag note it is delivered to the principal and read over announcements in the morning. Next, their names are put on the brag board and when the board is full, winners are randomly selected.
The top 3 winners receive a token, wristband and a book. Our top 3 winners are:
Ms. Sonntag’s class is learning about Habit #5 - Seek first to understand, then to be understood. They learned that it’s hard to understand when we only use our ears to hear. To really be a friend, we need to listen with our ears, our eyes, and our heart.

Payson High School volleyball team is doing a fundraiser by teaching kids in grades 3rd-8th grade volleyball skills. Participants will also receive a voucher to attend 2022 home games for free.
