Bulldog Pride in April

Submitted by dayna.kirgan on

Barnett Top Dogs and Leaders of the month for April were celebrated for their amazing accomplishments at Barnett Elementary. These students work so hard everyday to show true leadership skills and try very hard in their academics. It is always a great time to give these students the credit they deserve. Our Alpha dogs of the month were Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Weaver. Go Bulldogs!

3rd Grade Track Meet

Submitted by dayna.kirgan on

With the year finishing out, we have the last of our track meets. The third grade track meet was the first for these Barnett Bulldogs. They were awesome! They all did their very best and kept great growth mindsets. They cheered on their friends, and even kids they didn't know. Barnett formed their own little cheer squad to support all of the racers! It was a great day and all were proud to be Barnett Bulldogs!

Barnett Choir Spring Concert

Submitted by angela.stoddard on

The Barnett School Choir performed their Spring Concert this week and did a wonderful job! They sang and danced through some fan favorites and even sang about being the amazing leaders they are. We are so proud of how hard they worked by coming to school early every week to prepare for this special concert. Great job Bulldog Choir!

Make Your Mark

Submitted by dayna.kirgan on
The first graders have been working so hard the last few weeks to learn dances, songs and speaking parts for their program. Friday, April 27th was finally their big day to shine for their parents! The program was called "Make Your Mark" and was based on stories and poems from author Peter H. Reynolds. First graders performed dances and told stories about sharing, being a friend, trying new things and helping others.

4th Grade Pioneer Day

Submitted by dayna.kirgan on

The fourth graders had a great Pioneer Day. They learned that being a pioneer was hard work by doing activities like churning butter, making candles, sawing and planing wood, chiseling rock and other labor intensive activities. They learned to square dance and play pioneer games as they tried to fathom what life was like before the internet. It was a very fun day full of hands-on learning.

Let the Track Meets Begin!

Submitted by dayna.kirgan on

This is such a fun time of year for Barnett students as we buckle in for our last  few weeks of school. One of the favorite events that happen this time in the year are the track meets. Barnett Bulldogs, 5th and 6th grades had their track meets this last week and they did awesome! Some of our Bulldogs even finished in the top 3 in their events. Great job Bulldogs! The track meet is a great time to get out in the nice sunny weather and participate in some athletic events with some other schools. Good luck to our 3rd and 4th grade Bulldogs who have their track meets later this week!
